The hours of the Heritage Highlands Homeowners Association (HHHOA) office are 7:30 am - 4:00 pm , Monday thru Friday.  The main club number is 579-9574.

The Golf Shop number for tee times using Chelsea is 579-0172.  The general number for the Golf Shop is 579-7000.

Smoking is not permitted in any Heritage Highlands facility, including the clubhouse, gated area of the swimming pool, and the tennis courts.  Smoking is not allowed in the desert or dormant Bermuda areas of the golf course, as fire danger is extremely high.  If you do smoke on the golf course, please dispose of your cigar and cigarette butts in your cart.

Arizona 's liquor law and Heritage Highlands' license prohibit residents from bringing alcoholic beverages on the club property.

No pets are allowed in any Heritage Highlands facility, including the golf course, except service animals.

Guest Policy

HHHOA residents and qualified renters are responsible for making their guests aware of club policies, rules, and dress codes.

A guest is defined as a non-resident friend or relative of either a resident or qualified renter who is visiting Heritage Highlands at the personal invitation and with specific knowledge and sponsorship of that resident or qualified renter.

A qualified renter is defined as someone who meets the requirements for renting in Heritage Highlands as stipulated in the CC&Rs:  (i) is renting for a minimum of 90 days; (ii) has an approved rental agreement on file with the HHHOA; and (iii) meets the age requirements for living in Heritage Highlands.

Guests are ineligible for membership in Heritage Highlands clubs and organizations.

Guest participation in scheduled activities will be accommodated only on a space-available basis after resident demand for space in the activity has been satisfied.  Further, such participation must be under the personal sponsorship of a resident or qualified renter.

When using any club facility, an adult guest must at all times be accompanied by a resident or qualified renter or have a valid guest card or a guest bracelet in his/her possession.

Each guest must comply with all rules and regulations applicable to any facility he/she uses.

Guests 18 years of age and younger may use the facilities only when accompanied by an adult resident, an adult guest card holder, or an adult with a guest bracelet.  The exception to this is regarding use of the fitness center. (Please see the policy on the Fitness Center on page 6.)

The HHHOA Board of Directors, Advisory Council, or General Manager may restrict the use of any facility or the attendance of guests at any function or activity.

Guest Cards and Guest Bracelets:

Guest cards and bracelets should be obtained by the sponsoring resident or qualified renter at the HHHOA office.

Guest cards and bracelets are issued for a maximum of fifteen (15) consecutive days per visit.

Guest cards and bracelets can be obtained for an additional fifteen (15) days during any twelve (12) month period.  No further card or bracelet will be issued to that guest during that period.

The Grill

The hours of operation for The Grill vary throughout the year as posted at The Grill and provided in the monthly Highlander newsletter.

The clubhouse bar and grill and banquet rooms may be open at other times for special activities and private parties.

Residents are encouraged to charge food and beverage to their HHHOA account.  Receipt of food and beverage must be acknowledged by signing a charge ticket which will include the resident's name and resident number.  If the resident does not sign the charge ticket, a gratuity of 18% will automatically be added to the charge.  Cash and credit cards are also accepted.

Under Heritage Highlands' liquor license, alcoholic beverages purchased in The Grill are not permitted in the Private Wing – Members Only section of the clubhouse.

Food and Beverage 

Outside catering from any source is not permitted in any Heritage Highlands facility.  All catering is done by Heritage Highlands ' Food and Beverage Department.

Food and beverage, including potluck functions, self-catering and “brown bag” meals, may not be brought into the clubhouse, Golf Shop, The Grill, fitness center, pool and spa area, and tennis courts.

Alcoholic beverages, unless purchased from The Grill, may not be brought into any Heritage Highlands facility, including the golf course.  Heritage Highlands Food and Beverage Department must furnish all alcoholic beverage service. 

Dress Code

The Grill: Dress is Arizona casual.  Jeans are acceptable; however, tank tops, workout attire, bathing suits and bare feet are prohibited. 

Library: Dress is Arizona casual.  Jeans are acceptable.  However, tank tops, workout attire, bathing suits, and bare feet are prohibited.

Fitness Center : Dress is restricted to workout clothes (shorts and tee shirts, bicycle shorts, sweats).   Bathing suits and jeans are not appropriate workout attire and are prohibited in the fitness room.

Swimming Pool: A bathing suit is required when using the pool and spa area.  “Swimmies” are required for non toilet-trained children.  Bathing attire is permitted only in the swimming pool area, locker rooms, and on the outdoor patio with a cover up. 

Tennis Courts: Appropriate tennis attire must be worn at all times.  Only tennis shoes (no black soles) are allowed on the court surfaces.  No tank tops, blue jeans, or cut-offs are allowed.

Golf Course (including ALL practice facilities): 

          Men may wear collared golf shirts (at least 1.5” collar), with sleeves, mock turtleneck shirts, or turtleneck shirts, golf or Bermuda shorts or slacks.  No denim of any color is allowed. 

          Women may wear sleeveless, short or long sleeve golf shirts, with or without collars.  Sleeveless golf shirts without a collar must have at least three (3) inches of fabric covering the shoulder.  Skirts, shorts, golf or Bermuda shorts may be worn with a hem no more than six (6) inches above the knee.  Slacks and skirts are also acceptable.  No denim of any color is allowed.

          Only golf shoes with non-metal alternative cleats or other approved soft-soled shoes can be worn on the golf course and practice areas.  The Golf Shop must approve any shoes other than golf shoes.  Shoes must be worn at all times.

          NOT PERMITTED on the golf course:  Tee shirts, tank tops, blue jeans/denim, and cutoffs, jams, sweat pants, tennis shorts, short shorts, and bathing suits.

Cell Phones

The use of cell phones is not permitted in The Grill or Heritage Room. 

In other areas of the clubhouse, particularly the card room or meeting rooms, cell phones should be turned to vibrate mode. 

So as to not disturb others, all cell phone calls should be taken outside the clubhouse or in the hallway.

On the golf course, cell phones should only be used in case of an emergency.

Library

There is no checkout system when removing books from the library.  All books when returned should be placed in the return basket provided.  DO NOT return books to the shelves!  This function is the responsibility of the Library Committee.

The library serves a dual function, both as a library and a facility for hosting meetings for several of the Heritage Highlands operation committees.  When a meeting is in progress, residents wishing to use the library should use discretion.  If it is possible, they should refrain from using the library until the meeting is concluded.

Dress in the library is Arizona casual.  Jeans are acceptable.  However, tank tops, workout attire, bathing suits, and bare feet are prohibited.

Card and Billiard Rooms and Computer stations

Children 18 years and younger are not permitted in card rooms, the billiard room, or to use the computers unless accompanied by a resident, qualified renter, or adult guest card holder.

No food or beverages are allowed on the billiard tables or at the computer stations.  Please use card tables for beverages.

Alcoholic beverages are prohibited in the Private Wing – Members Only area of the clubhouse.

Fitness Room

The fitness area is for residents, qualified renters, and guests only.

No guest under the age of 14 is allowed in the fitness center.

Guests between the ages of 14 and 18 must be under the direct supervision of a resident, qualified renter, or an adult with a guest bracelet who is familiar with the proper use of the fitness equipment.  Everyone using the fitness center should be wearing either a “resident” or “guest” bracelet.

To avoid injury, request assistance if you are not sure how to use the equipment.

Proper attire – shorts and tee shirts, sweats, and jogging clothes – and athletic shoes are required.  No jeans or bathing suits are allowed.

Please wipe down the equipment after use.  Paper towels and disinfectant are provided for this.  Please be courteous of others nearby when using the spray.

No food, alcoholic beverages, or glass containers are allowed.

Users of the facility assume all responsibility for loss or injury. HHHOA assumes no responsibility for loss or injury. 

Lockers

The lockers are located in the restrooms across the hall from the Fitness Room.  These lockers are available as a convenience to residents and qualified renters on a first come basis and are available only when using the pool or fitness room.  They are not to be used on a permanent basis for storage.

Swimming Pool and Spa

All users enter the pool enclosure at their own risk.  There is no lifeguard on duty.  It is unsafe to swim alone.

In case of an emergency, a phone is provided that is a direct line to 911.  It is located in the northeast corner near the shower.  The Club Manager should also be contacted immediately.

The pool may be closed at the discretion of the Club Manager in case of inclement weather, repair, or emergency situations.

HHHOA is not responsible for lost, stolen, or misplaced items.

Residents and qualified renters are responsible for their guests and are subject to fines and/or loss of privileges for violations.  Residents and qualified renters must obtain a guest bracelet from the HHHOA office for each guest.  Everyone using the swimming pool should be wearing either a “resident” or “guest” bracelet.

Courtesy and consideration should be observed at all times by all pool users.

Pool hours and usage

The pool is available for adult open swimming with the following restrictions and priorities:

  Winter:

       7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. :  Priority to lap swimmers.  Lane lines are available.

       1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Monday-Wednesday-Friday:  Priority to water aerobics.

 Summer:

   6:00 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. :  Priority to lap swimmers.  Lane lines are available.

  9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Monday-Wednesday-Friday:  Priority to water aerobics.

 Children: 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. daily.

          Children are defined as anyone under the age of 14.

          Children must always be accompanied by an adult resident, qualified renter, or adult guest bracelet holder.

                   "Swimmies" are required for non-toilet trained children.

                   Children may use water wings and goggles.

A bathing suit is required when using the pool and spa area.  Swimming attire is permitted only in the swimming pool area, locker rooms, and on the outdoor patio with a cover up.

No adult flotation equipment is allowed, i.e. mattresses, chairs, etc.  Aerobic equipment and small swim aids are permissible.

No bikes, skateboards, roller blades, or roller skates are allowed in the pool enclosure.

No rowdiness, running, diving, climbing on walls, swinging on gates, throwing objects, or jumping into the pool are allowed.

Abusive and foul language is prohibited.

No food or alcoholic beverages may be brought to the pool area unless purchased from The Grill.  No glass containers are allowed. All trash should be placed in the containers located in or outside the pool area.

A maximum of six (6) guests for each Heritage Highlands household are allowed in the pool area at any one time.

To insure safety, the gates to the swimming area are to remain closed at all times.

No one may use this facility with open wounds or communicable disease.  You must shower prior to entering the pool or spa and after applying lotions.

Tennis Courts

Tennis court etiquette is to be observed by residents, qualified renters, and their guests at all times.

Heritage Highlands Tennis Association (HHTA) members have priority for tennis court usage during Organized Tennis and for Association special events and social functions. 

Organized Tennis is played for two hours each morning:

          Women - Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

          Men - Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

In the summer, play begins at 7:00 am ; in the winter, 9:00 a.m.

From December through April, there may also be a second session if more than 16 players are signed up.

Guests of Heritage Highlands residents and qualified renters may use the tennis courts provided they are not taking court time from the full time residents.

Open tennis is available on a first-come, first-serve basis to all HHTA members, other Heritage Highlands residents, qualified renters, and their guests.

Guests 18 years of age and younger must be accompanied by a resident, qualified renter, or adult guest card holder, who is responsible for the court etiquette of their guest(s).

The tennis courts are to be used for tennis activities only.

No food or beverages, other than water or sports drinks, are permitted on the courts.  All trash should be placed in the containers located on or outside the courts.

Smoking is not permitted on the tennis courts.

Appropriate tennis attire shall be worn at all times.  Tennis dresses, skirts, shorts, tennis tops, collared shirts, t-shirts and tennis warm-ups are acceptable attire.  No tank tops, blue jeans, or cut-offs are allowed on the courts.

Only tennis shoes (no black soles) are allowed on the court surfaces.

All players should leave the courts promptly when their court time expires (two hours maximum) if others are waiting to play.

Courtesy and consideration should be observed at all times. Players and spectators should not enter a court while play is in progress.

__  1.   I have been given a copy of the General Facilities Policies.  I have read these rules and agree to abide by them.

__  2.   I declined the copy of the General Facilities Policies but have previously read them and agree to abide by them.

I also agree to inform my guests of these policies and understand that I am responsible for their compliance with all rules and regulations.

I understand that anyone violating these policies will be immediately asked to leave the facility by a member of the Board of Directors or their authorized representative.  Residents are responsible for their guests and are subject to fining and loss of privileges for violations.

I agree to return the guest bracelet (or bracelets) within five (5) days of the above expiration date.  Failure to return guest bracelets will result in a $5 fine per bracelet which will be charged to my HHHOA account.
