The first 32 players to sign up have priority for match scheduling. The Coordinator will make every effort to schedule four players on each court. The order of sign-up does not guarantee being included in a match. The Organized Tennis Coordinators will have the final say in all matters related to scheduling.
Coordinators will schedule matches with players that have the same USTA rating. If it is not possible to group players with the same ratings, then players with a .5 rating difference will be assigned. Normally, a player will not be matched with players more than a .5 rating level above or below. (For example, a 3.5 rated player could be matched with a 4.0 or a 3.0, but not a 2.5). Players should discuss their rating level with the Organized Tennis Coordinator.
Men or Women may be substitutes on the opposite gender's tennis days if there are insufficient players available to complete the schedule.
Match and court assignments are posted on the bulletin board by approximately 6:00 PM the day before scheduled play.
If a player must cancel after the scheduled matches are posted, it is the responsibility of that player to find a comparable substitute. If no substitute can be found, the canceling player must notify the other assigned players that the match is canceled.
Assigned courts that remain vacant 10 minutes after the scheduled starting time will be available for Open Tennis.
