Michael Veres Food Services Manager and Executive Chef 520 579 0520
Michael worked under Chef Alan Zeman while training and graduated from the Arizona Chapter of The National Culinary Apprenticeship Federation in 1991 where he received an Apprentice of the Year Award. He then worked as the saucier chef at The Mansion on Turtle Creek in Dallas under Chef Dean Ferring. When he returned to Tucson he helped open The King Fisher and the White Dove. He became chef at Daniel’s Restaurant where he won five Silver Spoon Awards and was invited to cook at the James Beard House in New York – a very prestigious honor. Michael was owner and chef at Cibaria Cucina Italiana for eight years, where he acted as owner and chef. (December 2009)

Mario is a native of Tucson. He has a 2 ½ year old daughter who means the world to him. He has a passion for cooking and enjoys preparing many types of cuisines. Mario has worked at Miraval Resort & Spa, rated the #1 health spa in the world by many magazines. He enjoys working with his mentor of many years, Michael Veres. Mario worked at Cibaria with Michael and at AJ’s sushi bar where he learned many aspects of Asian cuisines. Mario says “I look forward to cooking for each and every one of you”. (December 2009) |

Elizabeth Rehlander Banquets and Catering Manager 520 579 8881
Elizabeth is almost a native Tucsonan having lived here most of her life. She is married to Scott and they have two boys: Peyton 5 ½ and Branden 3 ½. Elizabeth has over nine years of retail management experience and has worked at different restaurants. She has been with Heritage Highlands since late 2007 and says “it really feels like my second home, especially when I live only one-half mile away”. Elizabeth states “I love working with people and getting to know them. I strive to make sure people are getting their needs met and that they have great service and a great experience.” (December 2009)

Kristal has seven years experience in the food and beverage industry as a bartender, server and restaurant manager. About her new role, Kristal says, “I really enjoy the day-to-day interaction with our members and guests at Heritage Highlands, and am devoted to ensuring an outstanding customer service experience for them during each and every visit.” Prior to joining Heritage Highlands Kristal used her skills in marketing, advertising and event planning to create and monitor national advertising campaigns, raise organizational awareness and plan and implement meetings for 1500 attendees.
